The Illinois Soccer Coaches Association (ISCA) has developed minimum standards of excellence in coaching. By being a member of the Illinois Soccer Coaches Association, you are expected to better the game through education and communication within the coaching community. Membership requires each coach receive a background check to insure the safety of participants in Illinois Soccer programs. By being a member of the ISCA, you will be recognized as a quality soccer coach deemed worthy of coaching youth soccer in Illinois .
Members of the Illinois Soccer Coaches Association will receive a quarterly newsletter notifying them of upcoming events, changes and news within the ISCA, coaching tips and insight on various soccer topics, and general information about the Illinois soccer community.
Education and the pursuit of education is the main goal of the Illinois Soccer Coaches Association. We will provide the Illinois coaching community with clinics, seminars, conventions and various other opportunities to help enhance the quality of coaching in Illinois . The ISCA will lobby the national soccer associations to bring more certification courses to Illinois to help reduce the costs for the coaches and clubs within Illinois .
Professional Liability Insurance protects you from claims if a player or parent holds you responsible for errors, or the failure to do coach in a manner deemed necessary by contract or a promise. Coverage includes legal defense costs - no matter how baseless the allegations. Professional Liability Insurance will pay for any resulting judgments against you, including court costs, up to the coverage limits on your policy. Professional Liability Insurance coverage extends to W2 coaches, 1099 coaches and volunteers, and can be worldwide in scope. ISCA members are insured when doing soccer camps and personal training. Coaches are not insured for these actions through the Illinois Youth Soccer Association. They are required to purchase this insurance separately.

Through Bollinger Insurance, the equipment owned by the ISCA member is protected against loss including fire and theft. Coverage applies to the full replacement cost value of each piece of Equipment.
A completed inventory list (including each item type and its replacement cost value) must accompany the online application in order for coverage to be bound. Please provide detailed description (name, make, style or model, serial #, if applicable) of all individual items over $2,500 in value.
No coverage applies to items of equipment that are loaned or given out to players, volunteers, coaches or others.
Standard exclusions on this policy include: Mysterious Disappearance, wear and tear, inventory shortage, loss of money or securities. All Equipment must be insured to its full replacement cost value.
Event Cancellation/Weather Insurance can be purchased to protect your event expenses or revenues against cancellation due to adverse weather conditions. It is designed to offset not only the revenue lost due to reduced attendance but other revenue sources such as concessions, food and parking. It can cover perils such as Rain, Snow, Wind and Temperature.
As of January 1, 2008 , ISCA Members will have the opportunity to purchase Health Insurance through Humana insurance.
